David W Warne Banner

George Toriello sent me this information August 24, 2019 on David W. Warne, whose name is listed on the Original Veterans Wall Unit at Hackensack High School, missing the middle initial.  David W. Warne is the brother of 1940 Hackensack High School graduate, Ralph N. Warne, who was also listed on the Original Veterans Wall Unit missing the middle initial also and who was Killed in Action.

David W. Warne was born in Pennsylvania in 1923 and according to the 1930 census the family had moved and were living at 116 Elm Avenue in Hackensack New Jersey.
David W. Warne served with the 416th bomber squadron 99th Bomb Group during
World War II.   David served during the Korean War and was married to
Josephine E.  She served in the Navy as a “WAVES”, which stands for (Women Accepted for Voluntary Emergency Service), she enlisted in July 15, 1944 and was honorably discharged on January 15, 1954.  Their military service was extensive and they are both buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
